Coastal Teen Retreat for Special Needs Boy

This design project was in the coastal community of Encinitas, CA. Clients' goal was to transform a large existing space on the second level of their home into two private living spaces for their special needs son (Autism) to move into upon high school graduation. The requested style was coastal tropical to complement the design of the house and also honor their son's personal interests in sports cars and need for more independent living. Project consisted of constructing walls, adding doors, designing/installing a kitchenette, casual breakfast nook and all furnishings. Desired colors were green, yellow and black.
